FAQs
Laser Hair Removal
-
Laser hair removal is a non-invasive cosmetic procedure that uses concentrated beams of light to remove unwanted hair. The laser energy is absorbed by the melanin in the hair follicles, damaging them and inhibiting future hair growth.
-
This machine eliminates the need for pre-skin gel application. It incorporates a built-in cryogen cooling system that cools the skin with a cold air spray while the laser is in operation, resulting in a virtually painless experience.
-
To put it in perspective, the sensation can be likened to the quick snap of a rubber band against the skin. Sensitivity levels may differ depending on the treated area. However, our system allows for personalized settings to ensure your utmost comfort.
-
The Gentlemax Pro is equipped to effectively treat all skin types by utilizing both Alex and Nd:YAG wavelengths. The incorporation of a cryogen burst during treatment serves to cool the epidermis, thus ensuring the safety of the skin during the procedure.
-
The number of sessions needed varies from person to person and depends on factors like hair color, skin type, and the area being treated, but generally, it necessitates around 4 to 6 sessions. Additional sessions may be necessary based on individual hair growth patterns and needs.
-
Sun Protection: Minimize sun exposure and steer clear of tanning beds for a few weeks leading up to your appointment. Sunburned or tanned skin can be more sensitive during the treatment.
Hair Removal: Do not wax or pluck the area that is going to be treated. Instead, shave the area the day before or on the day of your session. Shaving ensures that the laser energy is focused on the hair follicles beneath the skin's surface.
Skin Products: On the day of your session, avoid applying any moisturizer, deodorant, makeup, or other products to the skin in the treatment area. This will help the laser function optimally during the procedure.
By following these preparation guidelines, you can enhance the effectiveness and safety of your laser hair removal session.

To ensure optimal post-treatment care, kindly follow these guidelines:
Daily Moisturizing: Apply a moisturizer to the treated area for three to four days after your session. This practice will help reduce irritation and lower the chances of developing folliculitis.
Gentle Treatment: Avoid activities such as bathing in hot water (bath or hot tub), swimming, and using steam rooms or saunas for at least three days. Instead, opt for short, cool or lukewarm showers. Do not scrub the area. After showering, gently pat the area dry with your towel, avoiding vigorous rubbing.
Sun Protection: Steer clear of sun exposure and tanning beds. When going outside, wear sunscreen with an SPF of 45 or higher to safeguard your skin.
Avoid Irritants: For at least one week following your treatment, refrain from using astringents, toners, Retin-A (or other prescription retinoids or OTC retinols), harsh soaps, medicated washes, scrubs, peels, and other exfoliating products.
Hairs in Transition: Do not attempt to scrub or pick at the hairs that are in the process of falling out. Allow them to naturally shed, which typically occurs over the next five to 15 days.
By adhering to these aftercare recommendations, you can help maintain the health and appearance of your skin post-treatment.

Microneedling
-
Microneedling is a cosmetic procedure that involves the use of a medical device with fine, sterile needles to create controlled micro-injuries or tiny punctures in the skin's surface. These micro-injuries stimulate the body's natural wound healing processes, leading to the production of collagen and elastin, two key proteins responsible for maintaining the skin's strength, elasticity, and youthful appearance.
The microneedling process typically involves the following steps:
Preparation: The skin is cleansed and a topical numbing cream may be applied to minimize discomfort.
Microneedling: A microneedling device with adjustable needle depths is used to make tiny, evenly spaced punctures in the skin. The depth and intensity of the treatment can be customized based on the specific skin concern and the individual's skin type.
Post-Treatment: After the procedure, the skin may appear slightly red and experience some mild swelling or sensitivity. A at home post-procedure kit is given prior to treatment
Microneedling is also sometimes referred to as "collagen induction therapy" because of its ability to stimulate collagen production, leading to skin that looks and feels more youthful and revitalized. The procedure is popular for its ability to address a wide range of cosmetic concerns and its relatively short recovery time compared to more invasive treatments.
-
Acne Scars: Microneedling can improve the appearance of acne scars by stimulating collagen production and promoting skin regeneration.
Wrinkles and Fine Lines: It can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles by enhancing collagen and elastin production, resulting in smoother skin.
Skin Texture: Microneedling can help refine the skin's texture, making it smoother and more even.
Hyperpigmentation: It can be effective in reducing hyperpigmentation, such as sunspots and melasma, by promoting the turnover of pigmented skin cells.
Skin Tightening: Microneedling stimulates the production of collagen and elastin, which can lead to improved skin elasticity and a more youthful appearance.
Large Pores: It can minimize the appearance of large pores by stimulating collagen in the area, making them appear smaller.
Stretch Marks: Microneedling can help reduce the appearance of stretch marks by promoting collagen production and skin remodeling.
Scarring: In addition to acne scars, microneedling can also improve the appearance of other types of scars, including surgical scars.
-
The number of microneedling sessions needed can vary depending on your specific skin concerns and treatment goals. In general, it is common to undergo a series of treatments to achieve the best results. Here are some general guidelines:
Mild Skin Concerns: If you have mild concerns like fine lines, mild acne scarring, or general skin rejuvenation, you may benefit from 3 to 4 sessions spaced 4 to 6 weeks apart.
Moderate Skin Concerns: For moderate issues, such as deeper wrinkles or more significant acne scarring, you might require 4 to 6 sessions with similar spacing.
Severe Skin Concerns: If you have severe skin issues like deep scars or extensive hyperpigmentation, you may need more than 6 sessions, possibly up to 8 or more, to achieve optimal results.
Maintenance: After completing a series of sessions, many individuals choose to have maintenance sessions every 6 to 12 months to preserve their results and support ongoing collagen production.
